Home & the Green Eggs Rally!

2015-03-16 18.23.07

We hit the ground running after arriving home less than three weeks ago.  It’s the price we pay for doing nothing all winter but sitting in the sun and enjoying the scenery!

The yard is showing signs of spring.

(All photos in this post are from the phone camera and unedited!)

We have a box with three months of mail to shred or file. (Will do mail forwarding next time!)  There’s the septic work that must be done immediately.  Income taxes to file.  Doctor appointments to be made.  A trailer to clean after 3 months of use.  And a house and yard to be made ready to sell!

It feels like there are a dozen chores to do for every hour of the day!  And the blog update  keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list.

We have another rally coming up in 10 days.   Looking forward to seeing friends in the Great Smoky Mountains!

Speaking of rally's….the Green Eggs and Ham in Montgomery, Alabama was great fun.  It is right on our way home and a great way to transition from our time in the southwest to the southeast.

We arrive two days earlier than planned which gives us 7 days to visit…enough time to get caught up with those we have not seen in a long time.

It’s the relationship with other egg owners that makes this such a special time.  We feel blessed to be a part of so much love.

  1. Welcome home! One of these days I'm going to make that rally so I can see all those great little eggs. Know what you mean about being on the road intensifying the must-do list when you are home. Eager to hear about the changes.

    1. I am getting way too dependent on the phone camera.....but it's so convenient when there are no landscapes to photo.
Keep those bluebonnets coming. Remember most of the US has never experienced what you are seeing!

  3. Lynne, I enjoyed seeing pictures from the rally. But my favorites are your beautiful flowers.

Good luck with getting everything taken care of so you can experience the freedom of the road. :)

  5. We sure did miss being at the rally this year!! Our Shih Tzu had a stroke/seizure about two weeks before the rally and we had to cancel. We were going to share a site with Maynerd Waters and his wife. Looks like it was a ton a fun!!
So glad you made it home safe and sound!! Sending best wishes for your upcoming "changes" and looking forward to hearing/seeing them unfold!!

  6. We are enjoying this rally more and more. And, of course, it is the people who make it special! New rules for next year...absolutely no sharing! This is from the COE.

Yes, lots of stuff going on here. Today is about getting dirt and moving plants around in the front yard....trying to make it look good for the sale.
Hope to see you again in the future.
