Sylvester Goes West

Hi!  I am Sylvester, Lynne and David's "Casita Kitty".  Mom is resting after a long day or three of packing.  Just want everyone to know that we are heading out to the desert tomorrow morning!

I can't wait to get out of here!  That scrawny little Princess cat makes my life miserable, constantly screaming when I get close to her and slapping me for no reason!

I get to be the only cat-child for next three months!  Mom has bought me a new bed for the trip and she promises to cover me each night with a warm fleecy throw.  (Sure wish they would get some heat in that trailer!)

But I overheard them talking...they are going to take the warmest route...so maybe I won't freeze after all.

Lynne here....
Our baby gets under the covers with us...so he is seldom cold.  And we do have a heater...when we have electricity.

We are tired but excited.  Another trip to the doctor for blood work early tomorrow and then we hit the road.  Maybe in San Antonio by New Years Eve?

  3. Thanks for the comment on our blog. Sounds like we have a lot in common! I looked back on your blog and saw that you live in the Chattanooga area. That is where we thought we might like to move after retirement but that was before we discovered the west and now we don't care if we ever go back to FL or the east in general.
Our plan is to stay here at McDowell Mt until Jan 15th, then spend a couple weeks in Quartzite. Jim has another doctor appt Jan 30 so we will come back to the Phoenix area then. After that we aren't sure, probably Yuma, So Cal, maybe Tucson, who knows. Hope our paths will cross one of these days so the guys can share blood thinner stories!

    1. We feel the same way about the west....planning to downsize and just spend spring and fall in Chatt town.
We are looking at McDowell Mtn...and may try to get in there before the 15th...it is about 18 miles from hubby's daughter's home...a few blocks off Shea.
Also heading to Q..will be campoing on Dome Rock road for part of the rv show and then back again for the fiberglass rally in Feb...All jello plans other than Q...but will need to work around the blood tests. Great to hear from you...thanks for the comment.

  4. Good to see you Guys hitting the road. Sylvester writes a great blog post,, :) . Now I need to apologize....when I saw you were going through San Antonio I just said Damn...we are within shouting distance but we have some good friends from Ohio that are flying down for the New Year...and we plan to get out of the weather by heading south...as they say timing is everything...still hope to catch you Guys while you are on you trip...BTW the weather in the area is going to be cold and will start raining sometime tomorrow evening through the New Year..a chance for freezing rain/sleet between New years Eve and New Years Day....you may want to reconsider your route....Take care, safe Journey and keep making the "smiley" memories! 6. Way to go, Sylvester!!!

Glad they are taking the warmer route, but you be sure and keep them snuggly and toasty when the temperatures drop.

Lynne, I am so happy that Sylvester worked out so well! And I'm so excited that you are finally heading West!
